From Hestia, the goddess of the hearth…For the first time, I write a review before even leaving —because this place, simply, deserves to be honored in the moment.Among all the places I’ve dined and had breakfast in Athens, this stands at the very top.I hadn’t imagined I would find such serenity here.Yet here it is — in the warmth of the space,in the quiet joy of each flavor,in the generosity that flows from every plate. The food is divine — flavorful, refined, and unquestionably made with care.Portions so generous, they feel like a silent offering of love.My heartfelt thanks to the owner and every soul who works here. You have created more than a place —you’ve kept the fire of Hestia burning.Efharistó me óli mou tin kardiá.(Thank you with all my heart.)

Food was great! I tsoureki french toast was so delicious and so was the shakshuka. Probably one of the pricier brunch places if you decided to order cocktails, but everything is well done. Portions are fine—didn’t leave hungry or overly full.Definitely agree with the prior reviews that you want to make a reservation; we were lucky to walk in early enough they had a table for us without one. I assume you call as I didn’t see a link to a site on the google overview page.

We had Kagiana and Philos Royal, both amazing dishes. Besides the food itself, the ambience and stuff were also so cozy and Greek in a cute hospitality regarding way. Thank you!

Food and design meet at Philos Athens. Located in a mural-filled neighborhood, Philos is inside a 1930s artist gallery. The walls are slightly cracked, but it fits the design. Planet cover generators and paper cranes dance from the ceiling. The sound of birds chirping fill the second-floor restroom next to the little shop.My friends and I met up at Philos at 10.00 on a Friday in August. Here’s our experience.1) Food: The menu is a home run with enough savory and sweet items. The Benedict was delicious with the perfect flavor of sauce and a little crunch with the crispy onions on top.My wife loves the French Toast and the apple pancakes are well prepared too.2) Drinks: Coffee, juice, beer, this place has it all. My flat white proves that the coffee program isn’t an after thought at Philos. It’s top notch!3) Service: It’s efficient and professional.4) Space: If you love design, this place is for you. They even have a rack it design and architecture magazines.
